New Earth Hotline has been extended an extra week. The interior audio installation runs for about 20 minutes and can be heard during our open hours on Sundays from 10-2pm (check stories for any changes!)

The LED truths can be seen 24/7 through the gallery window, these are anonymous truths recorded and transcribed from the audio work.

From Sporespace: To celebrate the end of 2024, Spore Space is hosting artist and baker Fran Gealer for a day-long display of her collage work and photography. Fran is a long-time Ojai community member who you may know from her baked goods pop-ups with Pinholita Coffee Van. Fran, a photographer and image maker, has a history of working as a photo editor for Vogue and Travel and Leisure. She has published work as an editorial photographer and currently makes work in collage at her Mallory Way cottage.

In addition to works on paper and small sculptural objects, Fran will be bringing a special cake and some pastries to Spore Space for everyone to enjoy.

Farewell Spore Store 💔
This coming Sunday will also be the last day of the beloved Spore Store. As many of you know, Spore Space has been operating out of two distinct rooms, one of which has been dedicated to promoting and selling small artworks by our extended community.

Joining Fran this Sunday will be The Rolling Roast, an interdisciplinary art project by artist and recent UCSB graduate Moxie Bright Evan. The Rolling Roast serves brewed coffee, tea, tampons, and sometimes waffles. It serves as not only a coffee cart but a mobile community center, library, and art space. Follow The Rolling Roast for their locations and projects, and come learn more about the project this Sunday.

Canvas + Paper, Ojai’s cozy modernist gallery, presents a new exhibition featuring works by Margaret Mellis, Keith Vaughan, and William Scott. Through their distinct approaches to still life, these 20th-century British artists transform everyday objects into explorations of light, form, and abstraction.

Set in a classic California bungalow near the Arcade, Canvas + Paper offers a quiet space to experience 20th-century modernism.
